Desde hace un año, más o menos, Ivania ha conseguido el reconocimiento de probablemente miles de fans, es diferente y eso siempre atrae. Aunque parece tan impenetrable como un témpano de hielo, en su tumblr responde a las preguntas de sus muchos seguidores, algunos se preguntan lo mismo que yo;

"Anonymous asked: Why do you think zara ruins fashion? Because it gives people who can't afford ACNEs ridiculous prices access to the same style?
Not at all, it isn’t about money. Style isn’t about money.
/ Because they are stealing designs from the real creatives (those designers who are working hard over there at Acne), who are investing time and money in doing research to come up with new concepts, new materials, new techniques. Zara skips this entire process and just takes a short cut, cherry picks from the collections on the runway and brings it into production. That’s why it is much cheaper, they basically don’t have to go through a design and research process like real brands.
/ Because they are speeding up fashion and have us thinking that it is normal to replace your entire wardrobe every single season. (Which if we had, it would not be doable and affordable to do with ‘designer’ items) they are also rushing the entire fashion industry in producing more and producing faster. They have the designer rip offs in stores before the designers themselves have them in stores. Thanks to Zara, by the time the best shoe of the season finally hits stores, the entire world already has it on its feet and is bored with it. So what happens is that companies like Zara are forcing the entire industry to come up with newer ideas, newer pieces at a faster pace. (creating more waste, having us all spend more money in the end, keeping low-wage-bad-working-environment-factories in business etc.etc.etc.)
/ Because most of their stuff is made to be replaced (admittedly their leather goods are often quite all right), they are ruining fashion by teaching their customers not to appreciate and value their garments and to see it as something disposable.
* I don’t think Acne’s prices are ridiculous if you know the amount of work, effort and craftsmanship that goes into it. Their shoes will last you for years, if you calculate the price of an item by the times worn you’ll see that you’re probably off even cheaper. For example; Acne boots for 350 euros, that you will wear 2 times a week for 3 years= 312 times, that’s 1.10 Euro per wear."

"do not sell editorial space. Every blog post is written by me, is approached in a journalistic way and is not influenced by commercial interests. Though in order to be able to pay my rent work more hours on my blog, you might come across an occasional advertorial, a mix of an advertisement and an editorial. Again it applies that even in partly sponsored content there is complete editorial independence. You can recognize an advertorial by the word 'advertorial' that I clearly state in the blog post.
There are no hidden advertisements on Love Aesthetics. I take my readers very seriously and am completely open to them about what is going on."

Anonymous asked: would you ever feature zara on your 'selected' section?
I think Zara kind of ruins fashio. Shini from Park & Cube had a tweet that said it all: ‘It’s a problem when this happens too regularly: “OMG Love your shoes, Zara?” “Thanks, no… Acne”’
